Alberto Mancini was born in 1978 in Trieste, Italy, and He has graduated from the I.E.D school of Transportation design based in Turin, Italy.

His yachts design creations are shaped by his long experience of the sea, Alberto Mancini has salt in his veins, and passed his summer on board the family ketch, sailing around the Mediterranean.

His professional growth and background has been characterized by 4 main design work experience: The first one, in the 2000 with Officina Italiana Design, where he has been involved in such prestigious projects as Aquariva 33 and Rivarama 44 and he had the opportunity to learn yachts proportions, and styling by Mauro Micheli official Riva’s designer.

Then a second yacht design adventure came, and Alberto Mancini joined Ken Freivokh design team in the south of England, where he has been involved in the design process of the famous 86 meter S/Y for Perini Navi Yard called “Maltese Falcon“, at this time, he had the chance to learn a lot about technics and management on the design process.

It was 2004 when Alberto met Carlo Nuvolari and Dan Lenard to collaborate on a sport Open yacht series for the prestigious boatyard “Cantieri di Sarnico“, Nuvolari & Lenard Studio has been a very important step to “learn by doing” and a manual training inside the shipyard.

In 2006 Alberto Mancini started up a own studio as a designer and managing partner of Team For Design studio, where he has the chance to design a completely new series of Flying Bridge Yachts from 20 meters up to 39 meters, custom and series production for Dominator shipyard. (Dominator 780S Best Design Award Cannes / Festival de la Plaisance 2009)

After 3 years , the combination of these experiences makes him aware of his yacht design skills and finally, in springtime 2009, Alberto Mancini decide to set up and open a new private design Studio :

AM Yacht Design based in Trieste, in order to follow his main target and philosophy: “Absolute pure and sleek design inspired by nature and research technology

AM Yacht Design is now working on several executive projetcs such as the Mangusta Oceano 42mt  just unveiled at MYS,  the flying bridge series of Dominator Yachts  and the super fast Revolver boats 44′ GT / 43′ CC,

AM studio have just  presented at Cannes Boat Show, MYS and Genoa the  44mt Baglietto “Monokini ” and the Dominator 640 winner of 2 Interior Design Awards (Festival de La Plaisance),

The Studio has also developed some exciting design concepts as the aggressive sport yacht Magnum 100 and Magnum 70 for the famous American Brand Magnum Marine of Miami, as well as the Otam 100.
